You can now add CPU cores, RAM, and disk space to a running server yourself, from your Phoenix dashboard, without opening a ticket. These upgrades have been running in beta, and they are now a standard feature for every customer.
“We built these upgrades so you size a server for what you run today and grow it when that changes,” said Garry Dolley, Co-Founder and Owner of ARP Networks, Inc. “We have run customer infrastructure since 1999, and it’s the kind of control we always wanted as operators.”
What’s Available
- CPU: Scale a server up to 16 cores
- RAM: Scale a server up to 128 GB
- Storage: Add SSD volumes to a server on demand, up to five per server
- Works on both VPS and ARP Thunder™ cloud dedicated servers
- Pricing is shown in the dialog before you confirm, and your server’s billing updates to match
How It Works
Open a server in your Phoenix dashboard, choose the resource you want to change using the slider and/or plus icon (see below), and pick a size. There is no plan migration and no rebuild, and you keep the same server, IP addresses, and data.

Upgrades are available to account owners and to team members whose role can manage services.
